Fried Rice

Fried rice is a dish made by the Chinese and Asian cultures. For them it is a common staple in their diets. If you frequent these types of restaurants you will have discovered that there are several different ways that it is made. Some include pieces of egg, carrots, and peas. You will even find it mixed with scallions and pieces of meat. Others just fry the rice until it is a nice brown color.

You will also find various recipes for making fried rice at home. You may have to try several of them until you get one that tastes exactly how you like it. The basics of making fried rice are quite simple. First you will need to make rice by cooking it. This can be done by boiling water or using a steamer. Let the rice cool completely from this cooking process before you begin frying it.

You will need to use a wok or a deep frying pan. Add a small amount of oil to cover the bottom of the pan. You want all of the pieces of rice to be coated by the oil as you add them to the pan. Otherwise they will stick to the pan and not to each other. You want to completely fry the rice until you have a nice brown color. Use a high heat and stir it constantly.

After the rice is fried to where you want it, you can lower the heat. This is when you will want to add the other ingredients you have chosen to include in the rice. It is going to take some experimenting to find the right taste of fried rice that you like. Try to make small batches of it from various recipes until you get it how you want it. The advantage of making fried rice yourself is that you can add more garlic if you want to and less egg if you aren’t too fond of it.

Fried rice is very inexpensive to make and it tastes delicious. You can use it as a side dish for hundreds of different recipes. It is full of various nutrients that will help you to feel good about your diet.. It is also easy for the body to digest and small enough for younger children to eat as well.
